Utamatisi owehla esphundu onokusashukela okumnandi!

Yenza inkomishi elinganiselwe ku-1 ½

 Izithako

1       u-anyanisi omncane, owenziwe izingcezu

1       ithisipuni ye-paste kagaligi nojinja

1       ithisipuni ya-curry powder (wengenze uma uthanda)

1       ithini (400g) likatamatisi no-anyanisi

½      inkomishi ye-fruit chutney

1       isipuni (TBSP) kajamu wamaprikoti

¼       ithisipuni likasawoti bese uvuvuzela uphepha omnyama ogayiwe

 

Indlela Yokwenza

1.      Thosa u-anyanisi uze ucwebezele. Faka ugaligi nojinja bese ukuthosa ube ugoqoza umzuzu owodwa.

2.      Faka u-curry powder bese ukuthosa omunye umzuzu noma emibili.

3.      Faka utamatisi no-anyanisi osethinini bese ukuyeka kuphekeke kancane ukushiye isivalo singavali ngci, imizuzu eyi-15. Goqoza njalo.

4.      Faka i-chutney kanye nojamu wamaprikoti bese ukuhlanganisa kahle. Nonga ngosawoti nophepha.

5.      Kuphake kufudumele esitsheni esincane noma kujeke omncane ukuphake nenyama oyithandayo egriliwe noma eyosiwe.

 

Amathiphu

Imnandi uma iphakwe nophuthu uma yosiwe, noma nama hamburger patties.

A tasty tomato relish with a hint of tangy sweetness!

Makes about 1 ½  cups

Ingredients  

1    small onion, sliced

1 teaspoon garlic and ginger paste

1    teaspoon curry powder (add more if you like it hotter)

1    tin (400 g) tomato and onion mix

½   cup fruit chutney

1    TBSP apricot jam

¼ teaspoon salt and a sprinkle of ground black pepper

 

Method

1.    Fry onion until glossy. Add garlic and ginger and stir-fry for a minute.

2.    Add curry powder and fry for another minute or two.

3.    Add tinned tomato and onion and allow to cook slowly with lid on, slightly ajar, for about 15 minutes. Stir intermittently.

4.    Add chutney and apricot jam and mix well. Season with salt and pepper.

5.    Serve warm in a bowl or jug with your favourite grilled or barbequed meat.

 

 

 

 


Tip

Delicious served over phutu at a braai, or with hamburger patties.
